2015 NPFH Caring for the Long-Term Caregiver Symposium
Our first Caregiver Symposium held in Kansas City was a great success! Visit our Facebook page to see pictures of the day.
Life changes in an instant if someone you love is diagnosed with a chronic illness. Your routine changes. Your responsibilities change and sometimes even your roles. Feelings of sadness, anger and helplessness can surface and in ways that you've never experienced before.
Co-sponsored by the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland, Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, and Johnson County Community College, the symposium was held on April 25, 2015 in the Capital Federal Conference Center located on the first floor of the Regnier Center. Our Keynote Speaker was Susan Sifers, MD, MS - Fellowship-trained Movement Disorders Neurologist at Saint Luke’s Neurological Consultants.
