The Parkinson's Program of Manhattan at Meadowlark Hills is sponsoring GZ Sobol Parkinson's Network Foundation™ Instructor Workshop. Gary Z. Sobol, diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2008, trained with Dr. Becky Farley at the NeuroFitness Center of Excellence for Parkinson Exercise. In 2012, he created GZ Sobol Parkinson's Network Foundations Class™.
This training workshop is designed for PT/OT, personal trainers, healthcare professionals, people with Parkinson's Disease and caregivers who want to maximize independence and quality of life for people with PD.

Darcy Bearden owner of Beardens Stained Glass and Susan Wiens, a glass artist living with Parkinsons, have create an art glass class for people with Pd.
Ever think you could work with colored art glass to produce lively, colorful projects--with a sense of "YES I CAN!" Well, we are going to teach you how! Learn how to cut the glass into your own designs, attach it, use of a kiln (oven)--all aspects of the "How's and Why's of Glass." Each class will have a project, usually completed in one session--a fish, a nightlite, keyrings, a votive holder, a frame, etc. There will be a small fee associated with the project usually in the $10-15 range.
