Moving Day® is the movement that’s changing the landscape of Parkinson’s! This year's event was held in Kansas City at the Liberty Memorial. Participants walked along an enjoyable route designed for all ages and fitness levels. They walked for a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker – or walked with them.
Moving Day® is more than just a walk. It highlights “movement” and exercise as a symbol of hope and progress because of its essential role in treating Parkinson’s disease. Our event featured a unique Movement Pavilion, with stations such as seated exercise, dance, and the Parkinson's Experience. Teams and individual, had a chance to move with supporters who share a common goal — to help beat Parkinson’s.
Photos from Moving Day® 2015 are now available to view on our facebook page! It isn't too late to fundraise on behalf of the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland to support the fight against Parkinson's Disease.
One of the walkers at Moving Day® 2013 made this amazing video to thank everyone for walking, donating, and volunteering! You will definitely want to watch it. We couldn't have said it better!
