Programs
The Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland serves the regional Parkinson’s community in the following ways:
The Parkinson Wellness Center & Wellness Program Our Wellness Center at 8900 State Line Road in Leawood, Kansas houses our library, Information and Referral Center, quiet reading room and two classroom spaces. We have a full schedule of programming in the new center. Click here to view our classes. The centerpiece of our Wellness Center is our Wellness Program, which runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 1:00 year round. Attendees participate in exercise, recreational therapy, learn about their disease process and ways to combat it, and join us for lunch. Caregivers are encouraged to use this time for respite.
